Last Halloween I wrote a post about the Skeleton’s Shenanigans I saw going on around Salem and other nearby towns.
Well, those local skeletons are up to their same old shenanigans again this year.
Some of their activities are harmless enough.
Here are a couple of skeletons I found playing a nice game of baseball this year.

Here are some skeletons I saw having a quiet dinner party.

Then there are “some” skeletons that throw parties that get way out of hand.
Here is a picture that I took of the aftermath of a party going on at the same house where there was a wild party last year.

Here’s a close-up of the bar the morning after.

Now I must mention that something unexpected happened while I was out and about catching up on the local skeleton’s antics this year.
My attention kept getting drawn to how many skeletons have pets.
For example, here is a close-up of a pup I saw at the wild party above.

Anywhere you see a couple of skeletons hanging out you will tend to see a skeleton pup hanging out nearby.
Here’s a friendly skeleton and his pup at a nearby house.
Here is a sociable skeleton and his pup catching some rays.
Sometimes there are pups with a purpose.

Some skeletons have scary watch dogs.

Other skeletons have even scarier watch dogs!

Then there are pampered pet pups that are a different kind of scary :)

Yep folks, that’s fingernail polish!
Some skeletons have other kinds of pets.
Here is a house crawling with pet spiders.
Here’s a close-up on one catching some rays.

It turns out many skeletons have pet birds.

Here’s a close-up of one in a cage.

Other skeletons let their birds out to roam free.

There are quite a few pet bats hanging around.

One skeleton that even had a pet owl!

Then there were skeletons who kept pets a little off the beaten path.
Here is a pet mouse.

Here’s an interesting take on a pet snail.

Here is a house holding a shindig where one skeleton even brought his horse!

Here is a close-up of that dude and his steed.

Eventually I decided to wander by and check out what kinds of hijinks were going at my good old favorite pirate’s house.

They were “mostly” up to their same old stuff.

I couldn’t help noticing this guy’s trusty pup.

I also couldn’t resist taking a shot of this gal (although I suspect that she would take umbrage at being called a pet :)

The pirates did have a new pet sea monster to ride this year.

Then I looked closer and saw that they also had a new pet fish and sea turtle.
They even had an adorable little octopus!

So, after seeing all of these different creatures, I couldn’t help but wonder where in the world skeletons get their pets?
That is how I found myself Googling how to find them for myself. I quickly figured found out the hard way that, when searching for animal skeletons, it is best in to preface the search term with “Halloween” (e.g. “Halloween dog skeleton” versus just “dog skeleton”). The results of Googling animal skeletons without prefacing it with “Halloween” wasn’t for the faint of heart.
The good news is that if you want to get a skeleton pet of your very own, they are easy to find once you know how to search for them. I think there is literally no Halloween skeleton animal that isn’t for sale out there somewhere.
Finally, there’s one last twist to this tale.
Somewhere along the way, while taking tons of silly skeleton’s pet pictures, it dawned on me that I should make some sort of a “gallery” to share them. At first I thought of making a puppy park, but then I saw all the other kinds of pets that skeletons own. The concept evolved into making a more general pet critter park.
