One of the highlights of visiting my hometown is having the chance to visit the Indianapolis Zoo.
They are always adding fantastic new exhibits to the old favorites like the Dolphin Show and the International Orangutan Center.
This time there was a stunning preview of the Magnificent Macaws exhibit that’s opening May 27th, and it happened in the form of dozens of them flying low overhead in one large flock made up of seven species. Yes, that’s right — the Indianapolis Zoo is allowing their Macaws to roam free, and it is a spectacular site to see!
The White River Gardens next door was also hosting the Butterfly Kaleidoscope.
The inside of the exhibit was a beautiful space full of fascinating butterflies everywhere you looked. Here’s the zoo’s video about the exhibit.
I must confess that I was equally enchanted with the outside of the exhibit.
As you can tell, I sure loved those butterflies!
